Position Focus:
The Facility Manager will lead all India facility operations End-to-end accountable for the overall development and execution of the real estate management function in the India and adjusting standards to local specifics.Ensuring safety, compliance, infrastructure reliability, and LT & ST capacity planning for Plants, GCCs and Corporate Functions. The role requires strong technical capability, regulatory compliance expertise, strategic planning, and execution leadership.
Job Description:
- Provide technical leadership for new facility, facility upgrades, expansions, and modernization initiatives.
- Plan and lead all Facility Projects in India including manage infrastructure across plants, HQ and GCCs locations; ensure structural stability, preventive maintenance, and safe working conditions.
- Ensure compliance with the National Building Code of India for all existing and proposed facility projects.
- Optimize space utilization and capacity planning in all offices
- Drive DISH (Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health) compliance requirements in all manufacturing locations, including upgrades and documentation.
- Explore and provide leadership to transition to a Facility Management Outsourcing Model
- Develop preventive maintenance programs, energy-saving initiatives, and cost-optimized facility operations.Establish strong vendor management, contract governance, and service-level performance measurement for housekeeping and facility maintenance. Meanwhile monitoring and evaluating regional and local service provider contracts to improve quality and costs targets
- Ensure that all workflow procedures and processes are regularly reviewed, updated and followed across represented Region
- Partner with EHS, manufacturing, R&D, and corporate teams to drive facility excellence and operational continuity
- Investigate and problem solve questionable data/reporting where necessary and escalate all serious issues to the Senior management.
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in facility management within a manufacturing & office environment.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure management, Real&Estate related , utilities, statutory compliance, and project execution.
- Experience managing multi-location facilities will be an added advantage.
Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field preferred).
