Job Summary:

The Deputy Manager Direct Tax will be responsible for managing direct tax compliances, assessments, litigations, and advisory matters. The role involves ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns, handling tax audits, supporting transfer pricing matters, and providing tax-efficient solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review Income Tax Returns for the company and group entities.
• Ensure timely payment of advance tax, self-assessment tax, and TDS.
• Oversee TDS compliance including deduction, deposit, returns, and reconciliations.
• Manage tax audit process and coordinate with statutory auditors.
• Handle income tax assessments, scrutiny notices, and departmental queries.
• Draft replies to notices under various sections of the Income Tax Act.
• Coordinate with tax consultants and legal counsels for appeals and litigation matters.
• Track case status and maintain documentation for all ongoing matters.
• Provide tax advisory on business transactions and restructuring.
• Evaluate tax impact of new transactions and contracts.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization.
• Prepare tax computation workings and management reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

• CA Inter / M.Com with specialization in Taxation.
• 5-6 years of experience in direct taxation (corporate environment or Big 4).

• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
• Stakeholder management and coordination skills
