Deputy Manager - Validation

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

'-To lead a team of Supervisors
-Validation of Systems, Aggregates & Components (On Vehicle & Rig level)
-Planning & tesing of Systems as per project plan
-Simulate customer end failure & field failure in Lab
-Fixtures development as per test requirements
-To witness testing at outside Agencies / Supplier
-To generate reports and give feedback.
-To record and maintain test data
-To interact with design engineers and plan necessary development and tests
-To incorporate process improvements based on governing standards and practices, follow Quality systems such as ISO/TS, QS, OHSAS, 5S, etc.
-Components life & establish useful life of various components
-Prepare / verify DVP / DFMEA / Test reports as per project requirements
-Create / manage test data / test procedures / SOP
-Prepare budget projections

Experience

BE / B.Tech - Should have 4 to 6 years of experience in component test labs Diploma - Should have 6 to 8 years of experience in component test labs

Automotive (Commercial Vehicles, Trucks & Buses)

BE / B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering Or Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

B.E / B. Tech Electrical and Electronics engineering; MS/MTech is added advantage

General Requirements

1. Systems, Aggregates & Component testing (Testing methodology, type of tests such as durability, multi environmental tests, accelerated life test, co-relation/use of road load data to meaningful validation on component & system level and/or Vehicle Level Testing, endurance testing)

2.  Instrumentation engineering knowledge, functioning of instruments and functioning of automobile and its sub systems/aggregates viz, steering, suspension, transmission, axles, cab & trims, brakes & controls, electrical & electronics, lighting systems, etc. 

3. Testing methodology, instruments required for tests such performance, durability, reliability, multi environmental tests, accelerated life test, co-relation/use of road load data to meaningful validation on component & system level and/or Vehicle Level Testing.

4. Knowledge of instrument troubleshooting.
