Deputy Legal Counsel

1)      Coordinate with our Panel Advocates to collate and periodically update the MIS on Litigations by and against the Bank including Civil, Criminal, Labour, Consumer, S.138 cases, Lokadalaths, SARFAESI, Conciliations and SAMADHAN etc

2)      To Coordinate with Collection for referring the cases for conducting conciliation, lokadalath, Dunning notices and collating the said datas received from regions and allocate it to respective advocates as instructed by Regional Legal Manager.

3)      To follow up with advocates for updates on status of dates scheduled for conciliation, lokadalath and collate the notice and hearing dates in Mis and coordinating with the respective area collections manager in collecting the notices from advocates.   

4)      Tracking of the service report with respect to notices issued under SARFAESI and also to collate the SARFAESI updates received from respective legal managers of region, Advocates and agency and update the master tracker of SARFAESI Mis.

5)      Provide all the MIS updates periodically as required by the Corporate Legal Team Time to Time and monthly trackers.

6)      Coordinate with Collections Department for tracking and updation of recovery effected through various legal processes.

7)      Coordinate with the Operations Team for obtaining Original Files/Scan Copies for the Various Activities like Legal Audit, Case Filing and for Initiating proceedings under SARFAESI Act.

8)      Maintaining Tracker on the Stock of the Original Files, Files Sent to Advocate and Files Returned to the Operations post Activity.     

9)      Follow up for the bills with the Vendors/Advocates and process the said bills after obtaining necessary approval for the said bills and presenting the same to Finance team for clearance.

10)  Reporting Monthly provisions relating to Legal bills of South Regional Legal Team’s vendors.

11)  Maintaining MIS on Panel of Advocates & Legal Vendors.
