We are hiring on behalf of our client, a well-established Luxury Hospitality Group in India with a portfolio of premium Hotels, Resorts and curated Guest Experiences across scenic destinations.

The organization is known for developing high-quality, design-led hospitality assets with a strong focus on sustainability, local integration, and immersive guest experiences. With multiple projects across locations, the group continues to expand its footprint through thoughtfully executed developments and strong project governance.


Scope of the Role

The General Manager Projects will lead end-to-end execution of Hospitality Development projects, providing strategic direction and operational leadership across the construction and project management function. This role will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery, cost optimization, quality standards, and regulatory compliance across multiple ongoing and upcoming projects. The incumbent will work closely with design, engineering, consultants, and leadership teams to drive efficient project execution and value engineering.

The role reports to the Vice President Projects.


Objectives of the Role

  • Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of Hospitality Projects (Greenfield and Brownfield) with high quality standards.
  • Drive value engineering and cost optimization across all project stages.
  • Build and lead a high-performing projects team across multiple locations.
  • Strengthen project governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Support business growth through efficient project planning and execution.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and defined quality benchmarks.

Financial Management & Cost Control

Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource plans while driving cost optimization and financial discipline across projects.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Build and manage relationships with contractors, consultants, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution.

Engineering Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure strict adherence to engineering standards, project specifications, statutory requirements, and safety regulations across all sites.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of project managers, engineers, and support staff to drive execution excellence.

Value Engineering & Sustainability

Work closely with design and engineering teams to implement value engineering, cost optimization, and sustainability practices including LEED compliance.

Monitoring, Reporting & Governance

Track project performance through KPIs, drive review mechanisms, and provide regular updates to leadership on progress, risks, and strategic initiatives.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (BE Civil).
  • 15 - 20 years of experience in Project Management and Construction, preferably within the Hospitality Industry.
  • Proven experience in development of Resorts, Hotels or similar Hospitality assets.
  • Exposure to sustainable project development and green building practices will be an advantage.
  • Should have hands on experience in managing an entire Project Cycle from Inception to Project Delivery for Five Star Hotel projects.
