Position: Deputy Director (Sports)

Location: NET Central Stadium, Raichur

Essential Qualifications

Experience Required: 812 years in college/university sports management

About the Role : You will be the single-point leader for NETs brand-new multi-sport stadium (Cricket | Football | Tennis | Badminton | Squash | Gymnasium | Athletics Track). Your mandate is to turn the stadium into a Campus of Sporting Possibilities , a vibrant hub that produces champions, builds student health, and becomes a pride of Raichur district.

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of daily operations, safety, maintenance, and revenue generation of the stadium.
• Create and execute annual sports calendar inter-college tournaments, summer camps, district-level events.
• Directly supervise 15-member sports team (coaches, gym instructors, clerks, cleaning staff).
• Build and lead college teams in Cricket, Badminton, Tennis, Athletics, etc., for university and state-level competitions.
• Liaison with Khelo India, Karnataka Olympic Association, district sports bodies, and UGC sports committees.
• Drive student participation (target: 2,000+ active users every semester).
• Ensure 100% compliance with UGC/AICTE/NMC sports norms and safety standards.
• Budgeting, equipment procurement, sponsorship tie-ups, and stadium branding.

Essential Qualifications

• B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed / NIS Diploma (any sport) from recognised institute OR Released Defence/Paramilitary officer (Major/Captain rank or above) with proven sports administration background
• Minimum 812 years of hands-on experience in managing college/university sports facilities or state-level sports programmes
• Proven track record of organising large tournaments and building winning teams
• Strong communication, leadership, and people-management skills

What Success Looks Like in First 12 Months

• 100% utilisation of all courts/grounds (6 AM 10 PM)
• At least 3 university-level medals/trophies
• Launch of NET Sports Academy with 200+ enrolled students
• Revenue-positive stadium through memberships, camps, and events
