Deputy Director FDU - Faculty Development and Updation
Brief:
Responsibilities
- To assist the Director in planning and executing faculty development programs for upskilling in emerging technologies.
- To support faculty members in obtaining global/professional certifications, tracking their progress, and organizing necessary training sessions.
- Evaluate faculty knowledge and skills through structured online/offline assessments.
- To help bridge the gap between faculty skills and software industry requirements through targeted initiatives.
- To coordinate curriculum updates for diploma and degree programs in CSE/IT/Computer Applications.
Eligibility:
Masters in CSE/IT/Computer Applications (Ph.D / Global Certification preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience in the teaching/software industry. Experience in faculty training, curriculum development, or certifications training preferred.
Detailed:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist Director, FDU in identifying emerging trends and domains in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, and Computer Applications for faculty upskilling.
- Identify gaps between faculty skills/knowledge and industry requirements. Develop and implement strategies to bridge these gaps through targeted programs and activities.
- Coordinate the assignment of global/professional certifications to faculty members. Track and report the progress of faculties in completing their certifications. Ensure the timely provision of certification exam vouchers for faculty members.
- Collaborate in planning and organizing faculty development programs, hands-on training, and workshops for faculty members.
- Prepare and organize documents, reports, and presentations related to faculty development programs.
- Support the regular review and update of curricula for diploma and degree courses in all branches of Computer engineering, IT, and computer applications to ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Analyze data related to faculty development participation, outcomes, and impact, and present findings to the Director, Faculty Development and Updation.
- Assist teachers in developing innovative teaching-learning methods, delivery systems, and assessment procedures.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Faculty Development and Updation Cell in coordination with the Director.
- Ensure timely communication, documentation, and reporting related to activities organized for faculty development and updation.
- Assist in evaluating the knowledge and skills of teachers through online/offline examinations.
- Prepare and execute mechanisms for continuous monitoring and improvement.
- Any other task given by the Director, Faculty Development and Updation, for managing the Faculty Development and Updation process.
Qualification:
- Must have Masters degree in Computer Science/IT or a related field.
- Global certifications or PhD in a relevant field will be preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in teaching/software Industry, with strong knowledge of cutting-edge technologies.
- Experience in coordinating training programs or professional certifications will be an advantage.
