LOCATION: Bangalore

JOB PURPOSE:

The Deputy Director (e-Learning and Technical) shall be responsible for planning, implementation, and supervision of e-learning systems, digital content development, and technical coordination for Online programs in compliance with UGC-DEB Regulations. The position ensures academic integrity, technical robustness, and learner-centric delivery through the Learning Management System (LMS).

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Strong understanding of online pedagogy and instructional design
• Hands-on expertise with LMS platforms
• Familiarity with e-content standards, SCORM, multimedia tools, and analytics
• Leadership and coordination skills
• Knowledge of UGC-DEB regulatory framework for Online education

CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

A. e-Learning & Content Development

• Coordinate development of UGC-DEB compliant e-learning modules
• Ensure alignment of content with curriculum framework, credit structure, and learning outcomes.
• Maintain academic and technical quality benchmarks as mandated by UGC-DEB.

B. Learning Management System Management

• Oversee deployment, customization, and maintenance of the LMS for Online programmes. Ensure seamless integration of Course content, Assessments and evaluations and Learner analytics and progress tracking
• Ensure LMS compliance with UGC-DEB learner support, monitoring, and reporting requirements.

C. Technical Coordination

• Facilitate technical coordination between academic departments, multimedia production teams, LMS and IT infrastructure teams. Supervise end-to-end workflow for digital module production and deployment.

D. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UGC-DEB Regulations, Internal quality assurance mechanisms, audits, inspections etc and monitor learner engagement, system performance, and content effectiveness.

E. Faculty & Staff Capacity Building

• Conduct training and orientation for faculty on Online teaching tools, LMS usage and Digital pedagogy and assessment practices. Support adoption of innovative teaching-learning technologies.
