Job Description
Reuters Operations and Strategy seeks a collaborative, motivated delivery manager with experience of delivering content-driven product development solutions.
The Technology Delivery Management team is responsible for solution delivery, and implementation of service and support of the cloud-based technology and platforms that underpin Reuters News and Media products.
The individual will have a passion for Agile delivery and the culture of continuous improvement the Agile mindset brings.
About the Role
- Delivers projects within the constraints of scope, time and quality.
- Defines, documents and manages projects with minimal supervision, working with multiple teams across the globe, with differing priorities and working/cultural practices.
- Effectively manages project team conflicts, builds collaborative partnerships with stakeholders and gains commitment to make decisions.
- Identifies, assesses and manages risks, blocking issues and dependencies, and ensures stakeholders have information to make effective decisions.
- Implements effective communication plans and operating rhythm, including provision of regular and accurate reports.
- Partners with the Product Manager to support product backlog definition / refinement / prioritisation to feed sprints.
- Experience running Agile projects of varying size and complexity.
- Able to lead all phases of the project and the software development lifecycle.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills across all levels of an organisation
- Strong negotiating, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
- Creative problem solver.
- Outstanding attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technology (or related field)
- 3+ years’ experience in delivery management, with agile, product development teams.
- Professional certifications such as Project Management (PMP) and/or Agile (Scrum Master, other) certifications
- Very strong English written & oral communication skills
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Excel, Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project) and collaboration platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Slack, Confluence), with experience using these tools to drive project success and team collaboration. Report creation skills.
