Delivery Head

Role Overview

The IT Delivery Head will lead endtoend delivery of ecommerce and digital projects from Chennai for USbased clients , working in a lean, highownership environment where decisions are made quickly and leaders stay close to the work.

This role suits candidates who have grown delivery organizations in small or midsized IT services/product firms, are comfortable building processes from the ground up, and thrive in situations with evolving structures and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Take ownership of delivery metrics (ontime delivery, quality, customer satisfaction, utilization, and basic P&L), identifying and driving continuous improvements in a resourceconstrained setting.
• Build and mature a Chennaibased delivery team (project managers, engineers, QA, DevOps) by hiring, mentoring, and defining ways of working suited to a growing smallmidsized organisation.
• Coordinate closely with onshore counterparts across time zones, ensuring smooth handoffs, proactive communication, and quick issue resolution for US customers.
• Contribute to solutioning and presales by estimating efforts, shaping delivery models, and participating in client conversations, especially for new or growing accounts.

Experience and Qualifications

• 2025 years of overall experience in IT services or product engineering, with significant tenure in small or midsized organizations where the candidate directly owned delivery outcomes and team building.
• At least 810 years in senior delivery management roles (Delivery Manager / Head of Delivery / Portfolio Lead) handling international (preferably US) clients with distributed teams.
• BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; a Masters degree (MBA/Technology Management) is a plus, not mandatory.
• Prior experience in digital commerce, web platforms, or cloudbased application delivery is highly preferred.
• Good Understanding and Experience in implementing Software Engineering Best Practices
• Experience in Implementing and Managing "Work Management Systems and Processes for Software Engineering Teams"
• Knowledge and Experience in Developer Productivity Measurement and Monitoring (DORA)
• Knowledge and Experience in Implementing Software Quality Assurance Best practices and Tools (e.g. SonarQube, Linting)
