Job Description:
Our Human Resources team helps drive business outcomes by empowering HPE team members. What you’ll do:
The DEI Engagement Lead will partner with BU/Geo HR Business Partners to drive DEI initiatives in alignment with Global DEI as well as BU specific DEI priorities to drive impactful business outcomes. Duties include providing consultation and support in the creation of robust BU DEI action plans, delivering training, reviewing DEI Frameworks in key meetings and facilitating programs to attract, hire, and maintain a diverse workplace.
You will report to Global DEI leadership, and partner with BU/Geo HR, and other stakeholders to drive the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion actions that align with our Global DEI Strategy as well the BU’s People plan/DEI metrics with a focus on creating an inclusive work environment and fostering a culture of belonging within the BU/Geo.
Operationalizing DEI Strategy
Partner with BU/Geo HR to develop, implement and track - robust, metrics driven DEI action plans and initiatives in alignment with the Global DEI strategy to improve representation of underrepresented groups, equity in talent processes, and inclusive culture.
As a trusted partner, provide guidance and support to HR and business leaders on DEI best practices like – DEI frameworks, programs/ conference delegate selection, RG engagement opportunities, DEI Councils and other initiatives.
Integrate DEI initiatives into business practices and decision-making processes (for example, talent acquisition, performance and promotion evaluation, talent succession) using existing tools like the retention toolkit, listening session playbook etc.
Educate key stakeholders around DEI aspirations, metrics and practices.
Program Management
Plan, execute, and manage DEI projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed with high quality, on time, within scope, and budget.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones to track progress.
Continuously identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with DEI, BU/Geo HR Leaders, CoEs such as Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and others to support and integrate DEI efforts.
Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on DEI-related issues.
Facilitate collaboration and communication among stakeholders to drive engagement and commitment to DEI goals.
Provide strategic input and guide activities of BU funded networks (e.g. OLAA Women’s Network) to ensure alignment with the Global DEI Strategy / BU DEI action plan where relevant.
Communication and Advocacy
Develop communication plans to promote DEI initiatives and progress within the BU/Geo.
Lead DEI updates and trainings at strategic BU/Geo forums (ATMs, people leader meetings, etc.).
Partner with HR and Business leaders to identify opportunities, raise visibility and address challenges for high potential underrepresented team members.
Promote awareness and understanding of DEI issues through internal communications and events (e.g. newsletters, ATMs).
Data Analytics and Reporting
Analyze, and report on DEI metrics to understand current state, measure the impact and effectiveness of initiatives with a focus on moving the needle on key success metrics.
Utilize quantitative and qualitative data including workforce metrics, team member engagement surveys and other sources to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement and to make actionable recommendations.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the BU/Geo DEI ecosystem.
Continuous Improvement
Stay current with DEI trends, research, and best practices. Actively participate in opportunities to increase own DEI acumen and share with the BU/Geo stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in DEI initiatives.
What you need to bring:
First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
Typically, 10+ years related experience in Human Resources, DEI, L&D or Talent Management.
Strong understanding of HR functions including talent acquisition, L&D, performance enablement, talent and succession management.
Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to human resources.
Mastery of English.
Strong financial and business acumen.
Strong project management, problem solving, and analytical skills.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Diplomatic and articulate communication style in dealing with senior executives.
PMP certification is a plus.
