Position Overview
IILM University invites applications for the position of Dean, School of Management . This is a senior academic leadership role responsible for providing strategic, academic, and operational leadership to the School of Management in alignment with UGC Regulations, AICTE guidelines, and NEP 2020 .
The Dean will report to the Vice Chancellor and work closely with university leadership to strengthen academic excellence, research impact, industry engagement, student outcomes, and institutional reputation.
Eligibility Criteria (as per Draft UGC Regulations 2025)
Essential Qualifications
PhD in Management/Business Administration or allied discipline (UGC-recognized)
MBA or equivalent qualification
Experience
Minimum 15 years of teaching, research, and academic administration
At least 5 years in senior academic leadership roles (Dean/Director/HOD/Associate Dean)
Experience in managing MBA/PGDM or equivalent programs
Research & Academic Contributions
Minimum 15 peer-reviewed publications or equivalent scholarly output
Experience in PhD/DBA supervision and funded research
Notable contributions in at least 5 of 9 UGC-defined areas (teaching innovation, research, leadership, consultancy, industry engagement, accreditation, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership & Strategy
Lead strategic planning and academic innovation
Ensure curriculum alignment with NEP 2020 and AICTE/UGC norms
Promote outcome-based education and experiential learning
Drive accreditation (NAAC, NBA, NIRF, AACSB) and quality assurance
Faculty Leadership & Research
Recruit, mentor, and retain high-quality faculty
Promote research excellence, funded projects, and publications
Oversee doctoral programs and research centers
Industry Engagement & Placements
Build strong industry partnerships and advisory boards
Strengthen placements, internships, executive education, and consultancy
Promote applied research and entrepreneurship initiatives
Student Development & Outcomes
Enhance student learning experience, mentoring, and career outcomes
Support student clubs, competitions, international exposure, and startups
Institutional Development & Governance
Manage budgets, resources, and administrative operations
Strengthen rankings, branding, and international collaborations
Ensure regulatory compliance, ethical governance, and DEI practices

Selection Process
Selection will be conducted as per UGC Regulations 2025 , including shortlisting, expert panel evaluation, interview, and approval by the University Governing Body.
