Job Description

Hiring Triangle, a leading recruitment agency in higher education, is seeking an accomplished Dean to provide academic leadership and drive NEP 2020aligned digital transformation at a prestigious private university. The Dean will play a strategic role in shaping academic governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and modernizing academic and examination systems through secure digital platforms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for academic administration, examination systems, and institutional governance in alignment with NEP 2020.
  • Oversee end-to-end academic and examination operations, including academic calendars, assessments, results processing, and issuance of official academic records.
  • Ensure full compliance with national and statutory bodies, including UGC, AICTE (as applicable), NAD, ABC, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead institutional implementation of verifiable academic and skill credentials to support Skill India and lifelong learning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Heads of Departments, faculty, and administrative leadership to streamline academic workflows and enhance institutional efficiency.
  • Drive capacity-building initiatives by training academic and administrative staff on digital academic systems, governance frameworks, and best practices.
  • Monitor institutional academic metrics, accreditation requirements, verification reports, and regulatory audits, and present insights to senior leadership and governing bodies.
  • Represent the university in academic councils, statutory committees, regulatory interactions, and external academic forums.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 57 years of senior academic leadership experience as a Dean, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, or in a comparable role within an Indian university, autonomous institution, or higher education organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in academic governance, higher education regulations, and NEP 2020 implementation.
  • Strong experience with digital transformation initiatives, including academic management systems, examination platforms, and secure digital credentialing.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of managing large academic teams and complex institutional operations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and policy implementation skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD) in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in private or autonomous universities undergoing digital or regulatory transformation.
  • Prior involvement in accreditation processes (NAAC/NBA) and regulatory audits
