Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement the institutions academic vision, mission, and long-term strategy.
- Lead academic planning, program expansion, and innovation initiatives.
- Promote academic excellence and continuous improvement across departments.
- Ensure alignment of academic goals with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
2. Curriculum Development & Review
- Oversee design, revision, and approval of curricula in line with industry trends and academic standards.
- Ensure outcome-based education and competency-driven frameworks.
- Introduce interdisciplinary, research-oriented, and skill-based programs.
- Monitor academic rigor and course delivery effectiveness.
3. Faculty Management & Development
- Lead faculty recruitment, evaluation, mentoring, and professional development.
- Establish performance standards and appraisal systems.
- Encourage research, publications, grants, and academic collaborations.
- Promote a culture of academic integrity and innovation.
4. Academic Operations
- Supervise academic scheduling, workload allocation, and program coordination.
- Ensure timely conduct of classes, examinations, and assessments.
- Monitor student performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.
- Oversee academic records and compliance documentation.
5. Quality Assurance & Accreditation
- Lead accreditation processes and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Establish internal quality assurance systems.
- Analyze academic performance data to drive institutional improvements.
- Prepare reports for governing bodies and academic councils.
6. Student Academic Success
- Support student retention, progression, and graduation rates.
- Address academic grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Promote academic advising, mentoring, and enrichment programs.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
7. Research & Innovation Promotion
- Encourage research initiatives and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Support grant acquisition and industry partnerships.
- Promote intellectual property development and innovation ecosystems.
8. Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage academic budgets.
- Allocate resources efficiently across departments.
- Recommend infrastructure and technology enhancements for academic excellence.
