About the Team and the Role

The Corporate Finance & Accounts team at Ather is responsible for managing accounting operations, financial compliance, and supporting dealer business planning to align with corporate strategy.

This role is for an embedded finance partner who will assist Area Sales and Service Managers in regional business operations while serving as a trusted point of contact for dealer partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting operations for dealer transactions, including the regular review of sales orders, invoices, and receivable reconciliations.

• Review dealer claims within the Dealer Management System to ensure timely payouts for warranties and other incentives.

• Follow up with dealers to manage receivables and ensure strict adherence to collection Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Perform monthly dealer reconciliations and close open items within SLAs to facilitate formal balance confirmations.

• Assist dealers with financial queries regarding taxation, invoicing, and accounting by collaborating with internal stakeholders.

• Partner with the Process Excellence team to set up and periodically review the Dealer Operations Manual for financial compliance.

• Collaborate with system product managers to develop and maintain a robust Dealer Management System (DMS).

• Establish frequent connections with dealer partners through field visits and regular business reviews to build trust.

Experience and Qualifications

• Master's in Business Administration.

• 2-5 years of experience in a sales or retail finance role within the Automobile, FMCG, or Retail industry.

Must Have Competencies

• Expertise in data analytics and proficiency in using Excel and VBA for financial modeling.

• Advanced capability in creating high-impact PowerPoint presentations for senior management.

• Proficiency in independent thinking and problem-solving to drive financial decision-making for dealerships.

• Expert knowledge of managing external stakeholders and complex planning for retail finance operations.

Good to have Competencies

• Working experience with SAP for financial and accounting operations.

• Functional understanding of retail accounting, including invoicing, collections, and taxation.

• Familiarity with Dealer Management Systems and their technical setup.

• Ability to present complex financial recommendations to senior management in an actionable manner.
