Db2 LUW & zOS Connectivity Engineer

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the Mainframe as a Service team in Hyderabad and you will interact with the Engineering, Application Testing, Operations and Developer teams. The team will ensure a good performance, availability of the systems and support Application releases in the Test Environments (through SDLC Process).

Your expertise

You have:

Overall 10+ years experience in IT Industry working for a Midrange Db2 LUW & z/OS Connectivity Engineer to:

• db2 Client Tools (Windows; IBM Data Studio, Toad for Db2, Db2 Data Server Client)
• db2 Client for Linux
• db2 Client for Windows Application Server
• organize UBS internal requests for updates of packages for products above
• prepare scripting wherever needed for current Windows platforms
• write and update documentation regarding packages and testing scenarios
• running the test scenarios along the documentation
• support the central package team for Workspace
• support the embedded Db2 setup
• provide 3rd level support for the Db2 tools on issues and ticket handling with vendors
• having a good grasp with an analytical mindset and integrated thinking
• comfortable working with data across a range of sources, shapes and sizes
• sdlc know-how
• a university degree computer science, management information systems or professional certifications
• a background in the financial industry, or similar enterprise
• knowledge in the Microsoft Office palette (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
