DataStage Developer

Experience Range: 5 – 10 years

Location : Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata

Role Description: 

DataStage developer to design, build, and implement ETL solutions. 

Need to develop processes and frameworks with the DataStage platform to assist with the successful deployment and maintenance of ETL processes. 

DataStage developer should be skilled at applying ETL principles and practices and be able to implement complex solutions to problems at an enterprise level. 

• Knowledge of data modeling, database design, and the data warehousing ecosystem. 

• Skilled at the ideation, design, and deployment of DataStage solutions. 

• Proficiency with SQL Server, Datawarehouse/ Datamarts. 

• Preferable working experience within the areas of Credit risk, regulatory reporting, payment systems, Real- time Data ingestion using MQ/Kafka, Oracle ODS and file-based systems. 

• Working exposure with Hadoop, Hive. 

• Working exposure in SOAP- Web Services/ REST API. 

• Hands on exp of XPath, XSD, XML. 

• Hands on experience with Unix –Shell Scripting. 

• Experience in Configuration Management Tools- BitBucket, GIT. 

• Scheduler – UC4, TWS. 

Responsibilities: 

• Improving existing ETL processes for the business. 

• Designing and building scalable DataStage solutions. 

• Configuring clustered and distributed scalable parallel environments. 

• Updating data within repositories and data warehouses 

• Monitoring jobs and identifying bottlenecks in the data processing pipeline. 

• Testing and troubleshooting problems in system designs and processes. 

• < span lang="EN-GB">Providing support to customers about issues relating to the storage, handling, and access of data. 

• Experience with technical validation of data and ability to compare data to requirements. 

• Close collaborate in understand the requirements from Business stakeholders and Product owners. 

• Perform impact assessments, data analysis for specific business needs and propose solutions. 

• Update High level design documents, attribute logic/mappings. 

• Participate in Daily Scrums / Scrum of Scrum forums with leadership, architects, data governance etc., 

• Daily/weekly status reporting to Project manager / lead designer
