Job Description: As a DBA, you will be working in setting up, configuration, administering, and maintaining multiple production and development environments which consist of backend as MSSQL, MYSQL, PostgreSQL and Mongo database.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Database Administration: Install, configure, maintain and upgrade MSSQL, MYSQL, PostgreSQL and Mongo database servers.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve query performance and overall system efficiency. This includes query analysis, index optimization, and server parameter tuning.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including replication, clustering, and backups. Develop and test failover procedures.
• Security Management: Implement and enforce database security policies, including user management, access control, and data encryption. Conduct regular security audits.
• Backup & Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database issues, including performance problems, connectivity issues, and data corruption.
• Automation: Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and automation tools.
• Monitoring: Implement and maintain database monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Capacity Planning: Participate in capacity planning to ensure database resources can meet future growth demands.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, system administrators and other teams to support application development and deployment.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior DBAs and share knowledge and best practices.
• 24/7 Support: Participate in a 24/7 rotation to provide continuous support.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of MSSQL, MYSQL, PostgreSQL and Mongo database.
• Proficiency in SQL and database scripting.
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., replication, Log shipping, clustering, Galera).
• Strong understanding of database security best practices.
• Experience with database monitoring and performance analysis tools (e.g., Percona Monitoring Plugins, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with cloud-based database services (AWS RDS, Azure Database, Google Cloud SQL) is a plus.
