Role Summary:

Seeking a Database Engineer with strong Aurora PostgreSQL and automation experience to design, build, and support secure, scalable AWS cloud database environments. The role focuses on performance, reliability, security, and automated database operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support Aurora PostgreSQL on AWS
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database instances
• Automating provisioning and operations using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins
• Implement backup, recovery, security, and high availability strategies
• Perform performance tuning, SQL optimization, and capacity planning
• Work with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams

Required Skills:

• 5+ years database experience (4+ years PostgreSQL)
• Strong AWS and Aurora PostgreSQL expertise
• Automation with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins
• Shell and Python scripting
• Performance tuning and large database management
• Backup, recovery, security, and Linux/Unix fundamentals

Nice to Have:

• AWS Certification
• Oracle / MS SQL experience
