About this role:

The ideal candidate for the Database Marketing Manager role will have 4 – 6 years of experience in a business setting and demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced environment using data to drive commercial results, maximize lead acquisition, and sales conversions. To be successful, this candidate must blend proficiency in accessing and manipulating data with a strong ability to turn data into strategic insights and recommendations.

The role requires knowledge of audience acquisition, marketing automation, list segmentation, and analytics to identify the right prospective attendees for the right conferences at the right time.

What you will do:

  • Use SQL and Excel to manipulate, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to answer business requests.

  • Independently develop PBI dashboards to effectively translate data into actionable insights and business strategies.

  • Serve as primary team contact for conference-specific prospect data segmentation, marketing list generation and data analysis across multiple verticals and for internal stakeholders. 

  • Perform cross campaign analyses and contribute to conference marketing strategy.

  • Drive commercial results using data to advise stakeholders on strategies for maximizing audience acquisition.

  • Monitor and track efficacy of campaign efforts, providing insight and recommendations.

  • Develop testing strategies to identify opportunities for further audience acquisition growth 

  • Contribute to key strategic commercial initiatives.

  • Use Eloqua to perform marketing audience segmentation.

  • Follow with established privacy laws (e.g., CASL, GDPR) when building marketing lists.

  • Independently write presentations for internal database team meetings and contribute to external team written presentations.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing/communications, math, economics or other related field.

  • Dependable; demonstrated ability to complete assigned projects on time.

  • Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and ability to grasp technical concepts quickly.

  • Proven ability to highlight patterns in structured and unstructured data turning data into strategic insight.

  • Demonstrated ability to gain trust and communicate effectively with team partners.

  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Skilled at storytelling with tools working conference marketing manager clients.

  • At least 4 years of commercial experience with an understanding of data segmentation, email marketing, marketing campaign analysis and relational databases, while

    • Developing segmentation and testing processes to identify opportunities for further audience acquisition growth.

    • Monitoring and tracking efficacy of campaign efforts and channel attribution.

    • Reporting and developing dashboards that effectively translate data into insights and business strategies using Power BI or similar tool (e.g., Domo, Tableau, Alteryx).

    • Manipulating data in SQL including joins, aggregating data is a plus.

    • Working with Eloqua or similar platform (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, Salesforce) Desirable. 

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across geographies at different levels in the organization.

  • Experience working as a part of a diverse and collaborative global team is also plus.
