Key Skills: Application migration, SQL and NoSQL databases (E.g. Aurora, RDS, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DynamoDB

Years of Experience: 6 - 12 years

Location: Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Kochi, Hyderabad

Job Description:-

Hands-on database engineer responsible for re-platform, refactor/ modernization of databases for the wave.

Responsibilities:

1. Execute migration by re-platform, refactor/ modernization of the databases.
2. Ensure adherence to:
3. a) design,
4. b) planned approach,
5. c) planned timelines,
6. d) intended quality.
7. Provisioning, configuration and finetuning databases and datastores.
8. Homogeneous and heterogeneous database migrations.
9. ETL/ ELT.
10. Database finetuning.
11. Unit testing, assist other testings.
12. Deployment, cutover, hyper care, documentation, knowledge transfer to BAU operations.
13. Collaborate with all stakeholders related to the wave.

Must Have skills:

1. Hands-on expertise and experience in:
2. application migration by re-platform, refactor/ modernization of databases.
3. All phases of migration.
4. SQL and NoSQL databases (E.g. Aurora, RDS, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DynamoDB: any 3 of them).
5. Database finetuning (only for SME).
6. Data migration.
7. Associated tools and accelerators.

Good to have Skills:

1. Good understanding of:
2. a) Using GenAI and Agentic AI tools.
3. b) AWS and on-premise environments.
4. c) Security
5. d) DevOpsd/ DevOps
