Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Database Developer with strong expertise in SQL Server and exposure to Azure-based data solutions. The role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and managing database systems while collaborating closely with business and development teams to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to gather and understand functional requirements
• Design and develop database schemas aligned with product architecture and business needs
• Develop and maintain database objects such as stored procedures, functions, triggers, and scripts
• Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries and improving execution efficiency
• Build conceptual and logical data models to support business requirements
• Design and implement ETL processes to handle and transform incoming data
• Manage database migrations across platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Azure, Snowflake)
• Support QA teams in creating test plans and test cases for database validation
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues during development and post-deployment
• Ensure data quality, code quality, and proper testing strategies are followed
• Mentor junior team members and review code artifacts
• Work as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree (Masters preferred)
• 6+ years of experience in SQL development and database design
• Strong expertise in MS SQL Server (Database Design & Development)
• Hands-on experience with MSBI (SSIS)
• Good understanding of Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and pipelines
• Experience with Snowflake cloud data platform
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Good to Have

• Experience with Python
• Exposure to Databricks
• Experience in Financial Services domain
