Database Administrator

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced MSSQL Database Administrator with strong MSBI and Power BI expertise to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of SQL Server administration, performance optimization, and business intelligence tools, along with experience managing large-scale, missioncritical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Database Administration

• Manage SQL Server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong command of SQL Server tools, T-SQL programming, and backup technologies.
• Implement robust database security, backup & recovery strategies, HA/DR solutions, and performance tuning best practices.
• Work with and optimize large, missioncritical databases (multiTB scale).
• Lead database migrations and upgrade projects across SQL Server versions.

Cloud & Migration

• Hands-on experience migrating databases to Azure, AWS, and GCP (IaaS/PaaS/Managed SQL services).
• Strong understanding of cloud data management practices and modern data architectures.

High Availability & Disaster Recovery

• Expertise with Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication, and Database Mirroring.

MSBI & Power BI

• SSIS: ETL development, package optimization, deployments.
• SSAS: Cube design, tabular models, DAX, MDX.
• Experience with Power BI Report Serverreport creation, tuning, upgrades, and migrations.

Additional Skills

• Good knowledge of Windows Server and UNIX/Linux systems.
• Basic to intermediate development skills in C#, .NET, or Python (preferred but optional).
• Strong understanding of SQL development standards, code reviews, and best practices.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
• Familiarity with modern data trends and emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes including change, incident, and problem management.
