We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team in Chennai (WFO) . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing enterprise-grade SQL Server environments, ensuring performance, availability, and security across development and production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage SQL Server databases across development, testing, and mission-critical production environments
• Configure and maintain database servers, processes, and security controls
• Monitor system health, performance, and alerts to ensure high availability
• Perform daily backup monitoring , restores, and recovery operations
• Execute performance tuning , query optimization, and troubleshooting
• Apply data modeling techniques to support integration and performance requirements
• Independently analyze and resolve issues end-to-end in real time
• Automate recurring processes, track issues, and maintain documentation
• Support developers with complex query tuning and schema improvements
• Provide 247 support for critical systems and perform after-hours maintenance
• Share technical expertise and mentor team members

Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on MS SQL Server Administration experience
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning & optimization (PTO) using native tools
• Expertise in backup, restore, and recovery models
• Experience working with Windows Server , including Active Directory
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt to fast-changing environments
• Certifications such as MCTS, MCITP, or MVP are a plus
