Summary: We are seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Server professional with a strong background in database administration, development, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database reliability, availability, and optimal performance across production and non-production environments. Roles & Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances (2016/2019/2022). • Manage database security, backup and recovery, and high availability solutions (Always On, Clustering, Log Shipping, Mirroring). • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and index management. • Implement and maintain database monitoring, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategies. • Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views. • Support database deployments, migrations, and upgrades. • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including blocking, deadlocks, and replication failures. • Collaborate with application developers and infrastructure teams to ensure database integrity and performance. • Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and change management. Professional & Technical Skills: • Bachelor’s degree • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server database administration and development. • Strong knowledge of T-SQL, query performance tuning, and execution plan analysis. • Experience with backup strategies (Full, Differential, Transaction Log) and recovery procedures. • Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS. • Knowledge of Windows Server administration and PowerShell scripting is an added advantage. • Experience with cloud-based SQL solutions (Azure SQL Database / Managed Instance) preferred. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in production environments.
