Job Description
Project Role Description : Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Summary: As a Database Administrator, you will administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. You will perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems (DBMS) and providing input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of databases and contribute to the success of the team and clients. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME in database administration - Collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively - Responsible for team decisions and ensuring their implementation - Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams - Ensure the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases - Perform backup/recovery and configuration management - Install and configure database management systems (DBMS) Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Atlassian JIRA - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Atlassian Confluence - Strong understanding of database administration principles - Experience in designing and implementing databases - Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures - Familiarity with configuration management - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues - Proficiency in SQL and other database query languages Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Atlassian JIRA - This position is based at our Mumbai office - A 15 years full time education is required
