Project Role Description : Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Summary: As a Database Administrator, you will administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. You will perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems (DBMS) and providing input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. Database administration and management, database design, optimization, and performance tuning for SQL Server. Required Skills: MS SQL Server In-depth knowledge of SQL Server 2016 and above (5+ years) - architecture, including installation, configuration, and administration.ces Expertise in database design, optimization, and performance tuning. Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions like Always on Availability Groups and database mirroring. Cloud Platform Strong grasp of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Hands-on experience deploying and managing SQL Server instances in cloud environments. Knowledge of any of cloud-native database services like Azure SQL Database or Amazon RDS for SQL Server. Desired Skills: Kubernetes Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and concepts. Experience deploying, managing, and scaling applications on Kubernetes clusters. Proficiency in Kubernetes networking, storage, and security configurations. Containerization Understanding in one of containerization technologies such as Docker. Ability to containerize SQL Server workloads and manage them efficiently on Kubernetes. Scripting and Automation Scripting skills in a language like PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Other Skills Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of solutions. Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions. Capacity to think critically, identify root causes, and implement remediation strategies efficiently. Continuous learning and adaptability. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Manage and optimize database performance. - Implement and maintain database security. - Monitor database systems and troubleshoot issues. - Perform database backups and recovery. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Administration. - Strong understanding of database management systems. - Experience with database design and implementation. - Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures. - Familiarity with database security and performance optimization. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
