Project Role : Database Administrator
Project Role Description : Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Summary: As a Database Administrator, you will administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. You will perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems (DBMS) and providing input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of databases. Roles & Responsibilities: Experience in supporting environments oracle databases v 11g, 12c and 19c Good understanding and hands-on in Goldengate implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting Working Knowledge in Oracle GoldenGate classic and microservices architecture - installation, setup, and troubleshooting Golden gate replication performance improvement or parallel setup Expert in deployment of integrated, parallel Goldengate server process using on-premises Goldengate instance Good understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and OCI Goldengate service, various deployment topologies Hands-on experience in implementation Goldengate on OCI, Azure & AWS IaaS platform and OCI Goldengate PaaS Should have implemented Goldengate on Heterogeneous environment & Database, with highly available and scalable architecture Should have handled complex scenarios of setting up Goldengate on standby database, downstream mining, and replication across RDBMS and non-RDBMS end points Should have strong experience in setting up bidirectional replication, replication from and to autonomous database, object storage, for bigdata components like Apache Kafka / Azure data lake / Azure synapse / Amazon S3 etc., within and across regions Regular database operation and maintenance knowledge Knowledge of shell script relevant to reporting and Oracle database Knowledge of Operating system relevant to Oracle databases Professional & Technical Skills: Oracle Golden Gate 12 and 19c Oracle DBA Experience for 11g, 12c, 19c Oracle Goldengate troubleshooting and Performance Tuning PL/SQL Knowledge is good to have Should possess at least one Goldengate specific certification like Oracle GoldenGate Certified Implementation Specialist, Oracle GoldenGate Certified Implementation Essential, Oracle Cloud Database Migration Professional, Oracle Cloud Database Migration and Integration Professional Good communication skills for client presentation Team Player, should be able to support team members in critical activities Flexible with work and shift timings Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Administration. - This position is based at our Chennai office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
