Project Role : Database Administrator
Project Role Description : Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Summary: As a Database Administrator, you will administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. You will perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems (DBMS) and providing input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of databases and contribute to the success of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Design, develop, and implement database systems and solutions. - Perform database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning. - Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability. - Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring data integrity and security. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design database solutions. - Develop and maintain database documentation, including data models, schemas, and procedures. - Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data. - Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends, and recommend improvements to enhance database performance and efficiency. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Databases Infrastructure. - Experience with database administration, including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning. - designing, implementing, and managing on Azure (Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Cosmos DB), - data processing (Azure Databricks, HDInsight, Azure Synapse Analytics), - data integration (Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic App) - Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, or Scala for data manipulation - Preferred Certified on Azure (Data Engnr/ SA)" - Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and database architecture. - Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages for database management and automation. - Experience with database security and data protection measures. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with cloud-based databases, such as Microsoft Azure Databases - Familiarity with database migration and replication techniques. - Experience with database monitoring and performance optimization tools. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure Databases Infrastructure. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
