Project Role : Database Administrator
Project Role Description : Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Summary: As a Database Administrator, you will administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. You will perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems (DBMS) and providing input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Ensure the smooth operation of database systems. - Design and implement new databases based on business requirements. - Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, recovery, and configuration management. - Monitor database performance and optimize as needed. - Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and errors. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and security. - Develop and maintain database documentation and procedures. - Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends. - Train and mentor junior database administrators. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Database Administration. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Database Management. - Strong understanding of database management systems and concepts. - Experience in database design, implementation, and maintenance. - Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures. - Familiarity with database security and access control. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Database Administration. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required. Must have Skills: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience Proficiency in installing, configuring, and managing Microsoft SQL 2019 databases. Experience with database backup and recovery solutions Solid understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot database issues. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment. Experience with replication methods (e.g., streaming replication, logical replication). Familiarity with scripting languages - Linux shell and bash scripting, Teradata, Python Experience with SSRS, SSIS and Power BI Job Responsibilities: Willing to work on 24/7 shifts Manage and maintain databases to ensure their performance, availability, and security. Assist in the design, installation, configuration, and upgrading of database software and related components. Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies using tools Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries for improved efficiency. Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures to protect data integrity and comply with organizational standards. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain maximum uptime. Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to support application deployment and ongoing maintenance.
