Project Role : Database Administrator
Project Role Description : Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Summary: Candidate needs to have mandatory experience of Oracle + Postgres Roles & Responsibilities: Mandatory skill Oracle + Postgres Willing to work on 24/7 shifts Manage and maintain Oracle databases to ensure their performance, availability, and security. Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related components. Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and other tools. Monitor database performance and tune Oracle databases for optimal performance. Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures to protect data integrity and comply with organizational standards. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and database design. Document database configurations, processes, and procedures. Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases to ensure their performance, availability, and security. Assist in the design, installation, configuration, and upgrading of PostgreSQL database software and related components. Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies using tools such as pg_dump, pg_basebackup, and WAL archiving. Monitor database performance and optimize SQL queries for improved efficiency. Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures to protect data integrity and comply with organizational standards. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain maximum uptime. Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to support application deployment and ongoing maintenance. Document database configurations, processes, and procedures Professional & Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle database administration, including Oracle 12c/18c/19c. Experience with database backup and recovery solutions (RMAN, Data Pump). Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Solid understanding of database security best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex database issues. Proficiency in installing, configuring, and managing PostgreSQL databases. Experience with database backup and recovery solutions (e.g., pg_dump, pg_basebackup). Solid understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Familiarity with database security best practices and compliance requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot database issues. Additional Information: Oracle certification (e.g., OCP) is a plus. Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, or other high-availability solutions. Familiarity with cloud database services (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, Azure Database). Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, etc.) for automation tasks. Experience with PostgreSQL replication methods (e.g., streaming replication, logical replication). Knowledge of PostgreSQL extensions and their practical applications. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks. Experience with PostgreSQL in cloud environments (e.g., AWS RDS for PostgreSQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL). Good communication and interpersonal skills Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
