We are looking for an experienced Data Security Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Defender EDR/XDR for a short-term high-impact engagement.

Data Security Engineer

This role will focus on enterprise data protection, compliance, threat detection, and incident response across Microsoft 365, Azure, and hybrid environments.

Key expertise we are looking for:

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (DLP, SITs, EDM, Sensitivity Labels, Retention, DSPM for AI)
• Deep experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (Windows & Linux) and Defender XDR
• Endpoint onboarding using SCCM/MECM, Intune, GPO, Azure Arc
• Policy configuration, ASR rules, tamper protection, device control
• Experience handling DLP alerts, EDR investigations, and incident response

Ideal candidate: 57+ years in enterprise security engineering with strong documentation, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration skills
