Role Overview :

We are looking for experienced Data Scientists with strong expertise in Small Language Models (SLMs), NLP, and GenAI to design, fine-tune, and deploy multilingual, agentic AI systems at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and fine-tune multilingual Small Language Models (SLMs) for agent-based AI applications
• Build and optimize NLP / NLI systems for conversational AI and Q&A use cases
• Implement SLM adapter fine-tuning, SFT training, pruning , and optimization for base & instruct models
• Develop retriever-based frameworks for search and chatbot systems
• Apply contrastive learning and graph-based embeddings using heterogeneous data
• Research and implement state-of-the-art LLM / GenAI techniques
• Preprocess and engineer features from large-scale text datasets
• Deploy and scale models in production environments
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve business problems using data-driven AI solutions

Required Skills & Experience :

• Strong experience in NLP, NLI, conversational AI systems
• Hands-on experience with tiny/small language models and base LLMs
• Expertise in SLM fine-tuning, pruning, and instruction tuning
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and Q&A bots
• Knowledge of active learning pipelines (preferred)
• Experience scaling NLP models for large-scale search systems (plus)
• Strong critical reasoning and data-centric ML mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
