L&T Technology Services is seeking a Data Science AI/ML (Experience range - 5+ years) of experience, proficient in:

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with strong hands-on expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), OCR technologies, and machine learning to design, develop, and deploy intelligent document-processing and language-understanding solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable AI-driven products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and fine-tune LLM-based models for NLP tasks such as text extraction, summarization, classification, and conversational AI.
• Build robust OCR pipelines using tools like Tesseract, AWS Textract, Azure OCR, or Google Vision to digitize and structure unstructured data.
• Design end-to-end document understanding systems combining OCR, NLP, and machine learning.
• Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model performance optimization.
• Evaluate and implement modern AI frameworks (Transformers, LangChain, HuggingFace, etc.).
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production and ensure scalability.
• Conduct research and experimentation on emerging LLM and vision-language technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 57 years of experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with LLMs (GPT, LLaMA, Claude, Falcon, etc.) and model finetuning.
• Proficiency with OCR frameworks and computer vision libraries (OpenCV, Tesseract, PaddleOCR, etc.).
• Solid understanding of deep learning using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with NLP pipelines, vector databases, prompt engineering, and RAG systems.
• Strong coding skills in Python and familiarity with ML Ops tools.
• Experience deploying ML models on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
