Senior Data Scientist Fraud Analytics (LTC Claims)_6.5+ YEARS_Gurugram

We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist with 611 years of experience to lead fraud analytics initiatives focused on Long Term Care (LTC) insurance claims. This is a client-facing role requiring strong expertise in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and advanced machine learning techniques. The role involves independent model development, fraud pattern discovery, and insight presentation using large-scale cloud-based datasets, primarily on GCP.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and deploy fraud detection models for LTC insurance claims using statistical and machine learning techniques.
2. Perform EDA, feature engineering, and hypothesis testing to uncover fraud patterns and anomalies.
3. Build and optimize tree-based and ensemble models such as Random Forest, XGBoost, CatBoost, and LightGBM.
4. Conduct independent research, model experimentation, and translate analytical findings into actionable insights.
5. Write production-ready Python and SQL code and work with large datasets on GCP using BigQuery and Cloud Storage.

Requirements

1. 611 years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or applied machine learning with strong statistical foundations.
2. Proven experience with ensemble and tree-based ML models and end-to-end model lifecycle.
3. Expert-level SQL and strong Python skills for modeling and large-scale data analysis.
4. Experience with GCP ecosystem including BigQuery and Cloud Storage; working knowledge of Git.
5. Strong communication skills with the ability to manage deliverables independently in a client-facing setup.
