Data Science - ML Track Interns with Masters

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site internship role located in Jaipur for a Data Scientist Intern (ML Track) Masters Level. You will work on applied ML problems from data exploration through modeling and insight delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams (data/engineering/product). The role is hands-on and outcomes-focused: youll be expected to write clean, reproducible code, run disciplined experiments, and communicate results clearly.

Key Responsibilities

Applied ML Delivery

• Translate well-defined (and sometimes ambiguous) business problems into analytical/ML tasks with clear success metrics
• Perform EDA, data cleaning, feature engineering, and dataset preparation
• Build, evaluate, and iterate on models (classical ML and/or deep learning as appropriate)
• Conduct error analysis and basic ablations; document learnings and next steps

Model Areas

• Document AI / OCR: extraction, validation rules, doc-QA style pipelines
• Computer Vision: classification/detection/segmentation, defect detection, quality inspection
• LLMs / GenAI: RAG basics, prompt systems, evaluation metrics and test sets
• Forecasting / Optimization (plus): routing/scheduling/resource allocation or predictive planning
• Create clear visualizations and simple dashboards/notebooks to support decision-making
• Present findings and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Write production-quality Python; collaborate with engineers to package models for deployment
• Learn/assist with monitoring basics (data quality checks, evaluation scripts, retraining triggers)

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in data science, statistics, and machine learning
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R, and common DS/ML libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn; PyTorch/TensorFlow is a plus)
• Ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets and communicate clearly
• Ability to create and interpret data visualizations for decision-making
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to experimental rigor (validation, metrics, leakage awareness)
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Masters degree in Data Science / Computer Science / Statistics / Applied Math or related field
• Familiarity with big data tools (Spark) or modern data stacks (SQL, Databricks)
• Basic MLOps/engineering exposure (Git, Docker, MLflow/W&B, FastAPI)
• Prior work in any of: document understanding, CV, RAG/LLM workflows, forecasting, optimization
• Cloud familiarity (Azure/AWS/GCP)
