Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manager Data Privacy with strong experience in Indian and global data protection regulations, with primary focus on Indias Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) . The role requires a blend of privacy governance, regulatory advisory, and technical implementation , supporting enterprise-wide privacy programs and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Data Privacy and Protection programs , with emphasis on DPDPA compliance across business functions.
• Drive implementation of privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default controls in technology systems and processes.
• Provide advisory and hands-on support for compliance with DPDPA, GDPR, and CCPA , with primary focus on Indian regulations.
• Oversee data mapping, RoPA, consent management, DPIAs, and privacy risk assessments .
• Work closely with IT, security, product, and legal teams to embed privacy controls into applications and platforms.
• Support technical implementation of privacy tools such as consent management platforms, data discovery, and data classification solutions.
• Manage privacy incidents, data breaches, and regulatory reporting, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead client engagements, regulatory discussions, and internal audits related to data privacy.
• Develop and review privacy policies, standards, procedures, and training programs.
• Mentor and manage junior team members and drive practice growth.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Privacy / Data Protection / Privacy Risk roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with DPDPA (primary), along with GDPR and CCPA .
• Experience in technical privacy implementation , including integration of privacy controls into IT systems and applications.
• Solid understanding of data flows, system architecture, APIs, and security controls from a privacy perspective.
• Experience conducting DPIAs, privacy risk assessments, and data mapping exercises .
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.

Good to Have

• Industry-recognized certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPP/A, CIPM, ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Implementer .
• Experience working with BFSI, technology, or large enterprise environments.
• Exposure to privacy tooling and automation platforms.
