We are seeking a Data Privacy Operations Analyst to support the Data Privacy team in implementing and operationalizing the organizations privacy policies, standards, and controls. This role is suitable for early-career professionals with foundational knowledge of data privacy and data protection who are looking to build their expertise in privacy operations within a global organization.
The role will support day-to-day privacy activities including privacy assessments, data subject request handling, privacy documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable privacy and data protection requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Data Privacy team in understanding and implementing company Privacy and Data Protection policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assist in conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA/DPIA) and Privacy by Design (PbD) reviews under guidance.
- Support the Data Subject Request (DSR/DSAR) intake, tracking, and response process including access, deletion, and correction requests.
- Help maintain and update privacy playbooks, templates, and standard operating procedures for different business units.
- Assist in embedding Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default principles into business and product processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams such as Legal, IT, Security, Product, Compliance, and Sales to gather information for privacy reviews and assessments.
- Support preparation of responses for internal privacy queries, customer privacy questionnaires, and due diligence requests.
- Assist with internal privacy compliance reviews, audits, and related documentation activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to privacy operations, assessments, and data subject requests.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 13 years of experience in data privacy, data protection, information security, compliance, risk, or a related role.
- Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science / IT, Law / Legal Studies, Public Policy, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of data privacy and personal data concepts such as PII, data processing, controllers, and processors.
- Awareness of key data protection regulations such as GDPR, along with general familiarity with global privacy concepts.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and follow defined processes.
Mandatory Skills
- Foundational knowledge of data privacy and data protection principles.
- Understanding of personal data handling and the data lifecycle.
- Basic exposure to or understanding of Data Subject Requests (DSR/DSAR) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA/DPIA).
- Ability to read, understand, and apply privacy policies and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Basic proficiency with tools such as Excel, Word, ticketing systems, or GRC tools.
- Willingness and ability to learn privacy frameworks, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Internship or project experience in privacy, compliance, risk, or information security.
- Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2, or privacy and security frameworks.
- Familiarity with privacy incident handling or breach management concepts.
- Experience working with global or cross-functional teams.
- Entry-level or in-progress privacy or security certifications.
Basic technical understanding of systems, applications, or data flows.
