Summary: As a Data Platform Engineer, you will assist with the data platform blueprint and design, encompassing the relevant data platform components. Your typical day will involve collaborating with Integration Architects and Data Architects to ensure cohesive integration between systems and data models, while also engaging in discussions to refine the overall data strategy and architecture. Roles & Responsibilities: - 1. Implement and manage data cataloging tools to enable metadata harvesting, classification, and searchability across structured semi-structured data sources. 2. Perform data profiling initiatives to assess completeness, uniqueness, consistency, and conformity of critical data assets, enabling proactive data quality monitoring. 3. Design and maintain data lineage frameworks to trace data flow across systems, ensuring transparency, impact analysis, and regulatory compliance. 4. Define and enforce data quality rules and thresholds, integrating automated DQ checks into pipelines and dashboards for continuous monitoring and remediation. 5. Collaborate with data stewards, engineering, and business teams to operationalize governance policies, resolve data issues, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards. 6. Support governance reporting and audits by maintaining accurate metadata, lineage maps, and DQ metrics, ensuring readiness for internal and external reviews. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Alation Tool. - Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices. - Experience with data integration techniques and tools. - Familiarity with data modeling concepts and methodologies. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Alation Data Catalog. - This position is based in Mumbai. Work from client office, No WFH. - A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
