Role profile:
This role is at the heart of driving the successful delivery of Data Governance commercialisation in LSEG. You will work directly on the LSEG-Microsoft partnership, delivering a key initiative of Data Trust. Engaging with programme stakeholders, Group and Divisional functions, and the wider Data Governance team, the Data Passport Development & Reporting Lead will support build of the data passport concept, an industry leading governance capability aimed at showcasing the governance LSEG applies to the data it sells. If you are a data storyteller; with the ability to transform raw, often complex data into interactive dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights, then this is the role for you.
ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Development and Reporting Lead to join our team. As a Development & Reporting Lead within the Data Passport team, you will collaborate closely with the wider Data Trust team and key divisional stakeholders to develop the reporting dashboards that will display the Passport product. You will be responsible for capturing requirements, delivering reporting enhancement and working closely with the wider team and stakeholders to create an innovative customer-facing reporting tool. To be successful in the role you will require a strong background in building reporting dashboards, product experience & a drive to innovate.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Collaborate with the wider team to build the Data Passport product front and reporting dashboard via Power BI and additional reporting tools.
Understand business requirements, design the data model, and develop visualisations that provide actionable insights.
Develop and maintain visually compelling, easy-to-understand Power BI dashboards that provide valuable insights into customer experience metrics and product performance.
Design custom reports tailored to various stakeholders, including senior management, product teams, data owners and customer support teams, to enable real-time decision-making.
Work with business analysts and data teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in data reporting and visualization.
Collaborate with customer support and operations teams to align product development with customer needs and preferences.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI, data visualization, and customer experience management.
Advocate for continuous improvements in data collection processes, reporting tools, and dashboards to ensure the team’s ability to deliver actionable insights efficiently
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, data reporting, and business intelligence, with at least 3 years focused on building Power BI dashboards.
Exposure to writing languages such as HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript & experience implementing and maintaining website content management systems
Proven track record of using Power BI to create impactful data visualizations and reports that support customer experience improvements.
Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Power Query, and dashboard design best practices.
Strong understanding of data integration techniques and experience working with large datasets.
Experience with SQL, data warehousing, and other BI tools is a plus.
An interest in AI and adopting AI for reporting use-cases
Strong focus on understanding and improving the customer journey through data and product development.
Ability to turn complex data into clear insights that drive business decisions.
Ability to think critically and analytically, solving complex business problems with data.
High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in project management tools, such as Jira, and would be an advantage to have an understanding in data governance tools such as Collibra, Solidatus, MS Purview, or similar.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
