Job Title: Senior Data Modeler
Exp Range: 8- 14 years
Job Location: Kolkata Only
Job Description:
Required skill: Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling
Data Modelling Expertise
o Proficient in designing conceptual, logical and physical data models
o Skilled in methodologies such as Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling
o Experience with tools like Erwin, SQLDBM, PowerDesigner and Oracle Sql Developer Data Modeler
Cloud & Platform Integration
o Deep understanding of cloud ecosystems including Azure and Databricks
o Ability to design models compatible with modern data platforms and lakehouse architectures
ETL/ELT & Data Pipelines
o Familiarity with tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Power Automate
Metadata & Master Data Management
o Skilled metadata management, data lineage, and source-to-target mapping
o Exposure to MDM/RDM platforms and governance frameworks like DAMA or DCAM
Data Quality & Governance
o Strong focus on data profiling, validation and quality assurance
o Ability to align models with regulatory, security and governance standards
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
o Translate business requirements into scalable data designs
o Collaborate with architects, engineers, analysts and SMEs across domains
Analytical & Problem Solving
o Apply critical thinking to resolve modelling challenges and optimise performance
o Conduct root cause analysis for data issues and propose improvements
Documentation & Standards
o Maintain data dictionaries, modelling standards and reusable templates
