About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Data Modeler to work on strategic data platforms for a global insurance portfolio. In this role, you will design and implement conceptual, logical and physical data models on Azure, with a strong focus on Data Vault 2.0 , data governance and cloud-native performance. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers and architects to translate complex business requirements into robust data structures. Job Description Data Modeller

Key Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical and physical data models to support transactional, operational and analytical systems.
• Build and maintain models using tools like ERwin , SQLDBM or similar modeling tools.
• Implement Data Vault 2.0 based data models aligned to enterprise standards and business needs.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers and analysts to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data structures.
• Architect and deploy data models on Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake).
• Integrate data models with ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks or equivalent tools.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation: data lineage, metadata, transformation rules and data dictionaries .
• Implement and support data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency and compliance.
• Partner with DevOps teams for model deployment automation, version control and CI/CD practices.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong, proven experience as a Data Modeler or similar role.
• Hands-on expertise with Data Vault 2.0 (certification or strong project experience preferred).
• Experience with data modeling tools (ERwin, SQLDBM or similar).
• Proficiency in SQL and strong understanding of DBMS concepts .
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, data marts and BI concepts .
• Experience on Azure data stack (Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake).
• Experience working in insurance or financial services is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Good-to-Have

• Relevant certifications: Data Vault 2.0 , Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate , or similar.
• Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud-native architectures.
• Exposure to data governance / MDM / catalog tools.
