Were looking for a Data Modeller who will possess both technical expertise and a strategic mindset, here are the skillsets we require:

Essential Skills:

Solid Experience in Data Modelling Youll need around 5 years of hands-on experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models

Proficiency with Modelling Tools and Methodologies You should be comfortable with ER modelling for operational systems and dimensional modelling for analytics and data warehousing. Familiarity with ER studio.

Knowledge of Database Management Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL, NoSQL, and an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses

Understanding of Data Governance and Integration You know how to align data models with governance frameworks and integrate data across systems effectively

Analytical Mindset Capability to analyse complex datasets and derive insights to inform the data modelling process

Nice to Have:

While not essential, experience in the following areas will help you stand out:

Business Domain Expertise Deep understanding of the business domain they are working in. This helps in creating effective data models that accurately represent business processes and requirements

Knowledge of Industry Standards Awareness of best practices and compliance requirements in data modelling and database design

Problem Solving for Performance and Quality You can troubleshoot data quality issues, optimise performance and ensure data model scalability

Communication Skills You can explain technical concepts clearly, using analogies and storytelling to engage non-technical stakeholders

Familiarity with IP&I Products Understanding of Insurance, Pensions and Investments (IP&I) offerings would be advantageous
