Summary: As a Data Modeler, you will work with key business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects to model current and new data. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data by applying data modeling techniques and methodologies. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to understand their data requirements, designing and implementing data models, and ensuring data quality and integrity. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams. - Design and develop data models based on business requirements. - Collaborate with business representatives, data owners, and end users to understand data needs. - Work closely with application designers and data architects to ensure data models align with overall system architecture. - Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data modeling best practices. - Identify and resolve data-related issues and provide recommendations for improvement. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of data standards and guidelines. - Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data modeling techniques and methodologies. - Train and mentor junior data professionals to enhance their data modeling skills. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies. - Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts. - Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, or Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler. - Knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL. - Experience in designing and implementing data models for complex business domains. - Good To Have Skills: Familiarity with data governance principles and practices. - Experience with data integration and ETL processes. - Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 12 years of experience in Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
