Job Title: Collibra Resource (Data Governance Specialist)

Location: Mumbai India (Hybrid Role)

Duration: 12+ Months Long Term Contracting Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Collibra Data Governance Specialist with Snowflake expertise to support and enhance our enterprise data governance capabilities. This role will focus on building and optimizing metadata, improving the 360 view of data products, and enriching reporting related data assets within Collibra, while collaborating closely with Snowflake engineering teams to ensure aligned governance, lineage, and data product visibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, enhance, and maintain metadata for data products, Snowflake objects, reports, dashboards, and analytic assets within Collibra.

Build and optimize Collibra 360 views (Data Product, Report, Domain) to improve data discoverability, lineage visibility, and data governance maturity.

Ensure metadata completeness, consistency, and alignment with enterprise data governance standards and Snowflake data architecture.

Partner with Snowflake engineering teams to document and map Snowflake tables, views, schemas, and data pipelines into Collibra.

Capture and validate end to end technical lineage from Snowflake through ETL/ELT workflows and BI tools.

Support the integration of Collibra with Snowflake using APIs, lineage tools, connectors, and automated metadata ingestion processes.

Configure and maintain Collibra assets, domains, communities, workflows, and custom attributes to support business requirements.

Enhance operating models, stewardship roles, and governance workflows to ensure scalable metadata management.

Support enterprise data governance initiatives by enabling steward workflows, approval processes, and certification frameworks within Collibra.

Promote metadata standards, best practices, and governance policies across business units and data domains.

Assist with documenting data flows, business definitions, data quality rules, and usage patterns to strengthen regulatory and operational compliance.

Collaborate with business analysts, data owners, Snowflake engineers, and report developers to gather metadata requirements for data products and reporting assets.

Provide training, onboarding, and ongoing support to business users on Collibra functionalities, metadata processes, and governance workflows.

Translate business needs into metadata structures and governance models that support analytics adoption and data driven decision making.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.

37 years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Quality roles.

2+ years of hands on experience with the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform (Catalog, Governance, or Lineage modules).

Hands on experience with Snowflake (tables, schemas, views, data pipelines, or Snowflake governance features).

Strong understanding of metadata management principles and data governance frameworks.

Experience with reporting environments (Power BI, Tableau, Strategy, etc.) and documenting BI/analytics assets.

Familiarity with data lineage, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Ability to translate business concepts into metadata structures and governance models.
