We at Verdantas, seeking for Data Engineer. A Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and highperformance data systems. The role focuses on developing efficient ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality, managing data storage systems, and enabling analytics, reporting, and machine-learning use cases. This position collaborates closely with data scientists, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data availability and accessibility. The position requires in-office work in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python 1 2.
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink) 1.
• Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) 1.
• Experience working with ETL/ELT orchestration tools.
• Understanding of data modeling, metadata management, and governance.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data topics to nontechnical audiences 4.
• Collaborative mindset and stakeholder engagement skills.

Education & Experience

• Bachelors/masters degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
• Typically, 38+ years of hands-on data engineering experience (depending on level).

Preferred Certifications

• Google Professional Data Engineer
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
• AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty
