Role Description

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, working with large datasets, and orchestrating workflows using modern data engineering tools

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
• Work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources
• Develop and optimize data workflows using Apache Airflow
• Write efficient, reusable, and testable code in Python
• Create and optimize complex queries using SQL
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and backend teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and performance issues

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have Skills

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
• Advanced SQL skills (query optimization, joins, indexing, etc.)
• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
• Experience working with relational databases and data warehouses
• Understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and data quality checks
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Exposure to big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
• Experience with version control tools like Git
• Knowledge of CI/CD for data pipelines
