Data Engineer

SUMMARY

We are looking for a Data Engineer (Snowflake) with deep hands-on experience in Snowflake, data warehousing, and Python. You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines, optimise complex queries, and support integrations across multiple data sources.

This role also includes the creation of clear technical documentation in Confluence and JIRA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake & Python (Snowpark preferred)
• Develop and optimise complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Build automated workflows and Python-based data processing scripts
• Integrate data from sources such as SFTP, AWS S3, and Excel datasets
• Troubleshoot performance, configuration, and data quality issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions
• Prepare and maintain technical design documents, process notes, and documentation in Confluence and JIRA

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years in data engineering or related IT roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modelling, optimisation, data sharing)
• Advanced Python development skills
• Expertise in SQL and stored procedure development
• Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Automic scheduling tools
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of data governance, security & compliance
