Data Engineer

Meditab is seeking a client-facing Data Engineer to deliver end-to-end healthcare data solutions across EHR platforms. This role involves designing and maintaining reliable data pipelines, developing and optimizing SQL and ETL workflows, and transforming data using SQL, Python, or Java as needed. You will work with multiple data sources, ensure data quality and integrity, manage system integrations, and support analytics and reporting using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Google Data Studio. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a hands-on approach, and clear communication skills to successfully manage data projects directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute end-to-end data engineering projects including migration, transformation, extraction, and reconciliation
• Design and optimize complex SQL queries across multiple relational databases
• Perform large-scale data restructuring, validation, and integrity checks
• Build and maintain ETL workflows, data utilities, and automation scripts
• Develop custom data extracts, interfaces, and client-specific reporting datasets
• Create analytical and visualization reports using Power BI or similar BI tools
• Develop technical utilities and pipelines using Python and Java where required
• Investigate and resolve complex data issues and edge cases
• Work directly with clients to gather requirements, explain data behavior, and deliver solutions
• Own delivery timelines and manage assigned projects from requirement to final handover

Required Skills:

• Strong SQL and relational database expertise (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase, etc.)
• Hands-on experience in ETL, data transformation, and large dataset handling
• Proficiency in Python, working knowledge of Java preferred
• Experience with reporting and BI tools such as Power BI
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability
• Excellent client communication and documentation skills
