Role Overview
We are looking for an AI-enabled Data Engineer to join our growing data team. This role focuses on building robust data pipelines, automation, and AI-ready datasets that support analytics and machine learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines
- Write efficient and scalable SQL and Python code for data processing
- Work with Azure data services such as:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- Azure Synapse / Databricks (as applicable)
- Participate in Tier-1 / Tier-2 support handoffs with a strong focus on automation
- Support AI/ML teams by delivering clean, reliable, and well-structured datasets
- Apply root-cause analysis to data quality and pipeline issues
Must-Have Skills
- Strong fundamentals in SQL
- Python for data manipulation and scripting
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (preferably Azure )
- Automation-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot data issues
Good-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to Airflow, dbt, or Databricks
- Basic understanding of ML/AI data requirements
- Familiarity with data quality checks and monitoring
